Copyright
All copyrights are reserved. The contents, files, texts, graphics, pictorial materials, sound, video and animation files deposited on the website of DermExpoDB as well as the datasets available for download are protected by copyright. The property rights on the Protected Data stored in the database software application remains with the data owners identified in DermExpoDB. The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) holds the property rights for the software. Authorship on all other contents, files, texts and graphics varies on a case-by-case basis and is governed by generally accepted conventions for scientific publications. The respective authors expressly reserve all publication, reproduction, processing and exploitation rights to the content.
The structure, meaning and coding of datasets in DermExpoDB is described in the DermExpoDB codebook. As the DermExpoDB cooperation partners wish to promote future use of DermExpoDB for research and development applications, no special permission is required for distribution, reuse, or modification of all or any portion part of the DermExpoDB codebook .
After login, personal access to selected datasets can be requested via a request form in the “Search” tab. You will only get access to the datasets if you sign and upload the declaration “Granting the right to use the data” with your request or if your institution has signed the DermExpoDB cooperation agreement. Be aware that the respective data owners can withhold part of the requested datasets or reject the data request. Generally, permission to use the datasets is limited to the scientific purpose you have specified in your request. You will be notified by e-mail as soon as the datasets are available for download. Once the datasets are approved, you can download them as a csv file via the ‘Data access requests‘ tab.
If you want to include texts about DermExpoDB in your website, you should preferably do this by means of a link to our website and not by taking over the texts. This precludes infringement of copyright. Furthermore, you avoid using any obsolete material for your purposes. Therefore, a linking system enables you to refer to the current information constantly.

Active components
No active components such as Java applets or Flash are used. JavaScript is used to make the website more user-friendly (e.g. the administration ribbon at the top of the screen).
